Ondrej Kolacek

Was born in Czech Republic in 1978. When he was three years old the family relocated to Switzerland. When this small neutral country was swept up in the first techno-wave in 90s Ondrej was a regular visitor to the raves, co-organizing parties and even small festivals. Around 1994 he began buying records and took his first steps at mixing. At this time his musical spectrum was very broad, it ranged from ambient/chill to minimal, all the way to thumping beats. Ondrej has already made name for himself with his excellent and at the same time sensitive intros.

In 2005, together with his friend Stefan Keller, he founded the music label KumQuat Tunes. This innovative project, which focuses on high-quality electronic music, is one more step on Ondrej’s path, always in search of greater insight and even better understanding of him and the music he loves.
